Tote Bag Course
£450.00
On Our Three-Day Leather Tote Bag Course you’ll make a structured leather tote bag made from premium vegetable-tanned leather. This course allows you to work at a deeper level on a larger project, developing both core leatherworking skills and more advanced bag-making techniques. Suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to strengthen their existing skills, this three-day leather bag making course provides the time and guidance needed to confidently construct a full-size leather tote bag from start to finish.
What You Will Learn
Over three days, you will be guided step by step through the full tote bag making process, combining foundational leather craft techniques with additional construction methods, including:
- Accurate marking and cutting techniques
- Preparing leather for hand stitching
- Traditional saddle stitching by hand
- Edge bevelling, burnishing and finishing
- Structured panel assembly
- Rope handle construction and fitting
- Fixing methods and hardware attachment
With more components and construction stages than our shorter courses, this workshop gives you a deeper understanding of leather bag design, structure, and durability.
By the end of the course, you will leave with a completed leather tote bag and the confidence to take on larger, more complex leatherworking projects independently.
