Leather course gift voucher for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and special occasions at Diamond Awl Leather Workshop

Leather Course Gift Vouchers

Looking for a thoughtful gift for someone who enjoys making, learning new skills or simply trying something different?

A Diamond Awl Leather Workshop gift voucher gives someone the chance to spend time in the workshop learning traditional leatherworking skills and making something they can take home and use.

Based at Woodend Mill in Saddleworth, just outside Manchester, our leather courses are hands-on, relaxed and suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some previous experience. Each course is taught in small groups, with all the tools, leather and materials provided.

Rather than giving something that sits on a shelf, give them a day or several days learning a traditional craft and making something by hand.

Gift Voucher FAQs

How does a Diamond Awl leather course gift voucher work?

A Diamond Awl gift voucher gives the recipient a place on one of our hands-on leatherworking courses. They can choose a suitable course date and redeem their voucher when booking. It is a great way to give someone an experience rather than a traditional physical gift.

Gift vouchers are available for our different course options, including One Day, Two Day, Three Day and Four Day leather courses. The course available will depend on the voucher purchased.

Yes. When purchasing a voucher, you can select the course you would like to give. The recipient can then choose an available date that suits them when they are ready to book.

Yes. Because the voucher is delivered by email, it can be purchased as a last-minute gift without waiting for a physical voucher to arrive.

The recipient simply visits the Diamond Awl Leather Workshop course booking page, chooses a suitable available date and enters the unique voucher code provided on their gift voucher during the booking process.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving the recipient plenty of time to find a course date that works for them.

No. Our courses are designed to be accessible to beginners, so the recipient does not need previous leatherworking experience. You’ll be shown the techniques and guided through the project throughout the course.

The course includes the leather, materials and use of the tools needed to complete the project. Also lunch and refreshments are included. You’ll receive hands-on tuition and learn traditional leatherworking techniques, including hand stitching and other skills relevant to the project.

Courses take place at the Diamond Awl Leather Workshop at Woodend Mill in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester. The workshop is based in a historic former cotton mill and provides a working environment for learning traditional leathercraft.

Absolutely. Our courses are suitable for complete beginners. The aim is to introduce you to traditional leatherworking in a practical, relaxed workshop environment, with guidance throughout the day.

The project depends on the course selected. Our courses include a range of leather goods and bags, from smaller projects on the One Day Course through to larger handmade bags on the longer courses.

Gift vouchers are intended for the recipient named on the voucher. If circumstances change, please contact Diamond Awl before making a booking so we can advise on whether the voucher can be transferred.

If the available dates don’t work for them, they should get in touch with Diamond Awl before the voucher expires. We’ll do our best to help find a suitable alternative where possible.

Yes. Gift vouchers can be purchased through the Diamond Awl Leather Workshop website. Choose the course voucher you would like to give and complete the online purchase. The personalised voucher will then be sent by email.

If the recipient enjoys practical skills, traditional craftsmanship or making things by hand, it can be a particularly memorable gift. They don’t just receive something — they spend time learning a skill and make something they can take home and use.
