Marking/Cutting out leather
Preparing leather for hand stitching
Saddle Stitch
Skiving
Bevelling
Burnishing

END TIME – 5:30pm approx

£140.00 – The course fee is per person (There are no hidden extras – the course fee includes leather, tools, lunch and refreshments.)

LOCATION
Built in 1848, Woodend Mill is the last of the three counties cotton mills. Production ceased in 1951 and the mill became home to various light industries. Woodend Mill has now developed into a thriving cultural hub with over 30 artists based there including painters, photographers, sculptors, jewellers and musicians alongside a theatre group and dance academy. The mill is set in wonderful surroundings alongside the canal and river Tame, and a great place to visit and experience the new industry that remains in this historical treasure of the past.

SKILLS TO BE LEARNED ON OUR TWO DAY COURSE:
On our two day course you will learn the same core leather skills as the one day course plus additional skills that are relevant to bag making. The two day leather course will enable you to learn and develop your leather skills in a more in-depth way due to the more complex process of making a leather bag.
